Sproutkind

Privacy Choices

Control online photo analysis, optional cloud backup, advertising attribution, and deletion of Sproutkind’s private anonymous cloud records.

Effective July 19, 2026

Advertising attribution

Meta's advertising-identifier collection and automatic app-event attribution stay disabled unless you grant Apple's tracking permission after onboarding. In limited-data mode, Sproutkind may still send app activation, actual paywall presentation, and a verified initial-subscription event for aggregate advertising measurement with Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork. Declining does not change any plant-care feature. You can review or change Sproutkind's tracking permission in iOS Settings.

Delete your Sproutkind cloud records

Open Sproutkind and go to More → Settings → Privacy. Choose the permanent cloud-data and anonymous-identity deletion option and confirm the request.

This removes the structured records stored under the app’s private anonymous Firebase identity, including synced garden records, care history, scan metadata, journal text, collections, wishlist items, reminders, diagnosis records and feedback, reading progress, and preferences. The deleted cloud backup cannot be restored.

Keep cloud backup off

You can disable cloud backup in the same Privacy settings. The choice persists across relaunches until you explicitly turn backup on again. Sproutkind continues to use its local on-device data while backup is disabled.

Reset online-analysis consent

You can reset remembered online-analysis consent at any time. Sproutkind will ask again before a selected plant, bird, insect, or tree-ring photo is sent through Firebase AI Logic to Google Gemini.

Selected analysis photos are not added to Sproutkind’s Firebase Storage or cloud backup. Do not submit photos containing people, private documents, precise location details, or other sensitive information.

Local photos and app data

Original camera-library photos and journal photos remain on your device. Removing cloud records does not automatically remove local app data or photos you saved to the Photos app. Delete individual records inside Sproutkind, remove saved photos in Photos, or delete the app to remove its remaining local container.

Subscriptions and service records

Apple controls App Store subscription transactions and account-level purchase records. Manage or cancel a subscription through Apple’s subscription settings. Deleting Sproutkind cloud records does not cancel a subscription or delete records Apple must retain.

Superwall, Firebase, Google, Meta, and other service providers may retain limited transaction, attribution, security, abuse-prevention, and diagnostic records according to their service terms and applicable legal requirements. Meta attribution data is subject to your iOS tracking choice as described above.

Retention

Sproutkind’s structured Firebase cloud records remain available while cloud backup is enabled and the anonymous identity exists. They are removed when the in-app permanent deletion completes or when normal service operations require removal. Temporary online-analysis processing and provider security logs follow the applicable Firebase and paid Gemini service terms.
